Step one

Getting started

CIRCA is a storefront and checkout for people who sell in person. You add your products, share your storefront, and let buyers pay you on the spot by scanning your seller QR code. No shipping, no separate website to build.

Setup happens once: download the app, set up your profile and connect Stripe for payouts, then add your products. CIRCA turns them into a storefront you can share. After that, you can sell from your own QR or join a host's market when you want an event roster.

Step two

Download the app

You do everything as a seller in the CIRCA seller app. Download it from the App Store and sign up.

The app is where you build your profile, connect Stripe, add your products, get your storefront, and show your QR code wherever you sell.

Step three

Set up your profile & Stripe

First, build your seller profile. This is how buyers and hosts recognize you:

• Your name and handle, what shows up at your spot.
• Your specialty, a short line on what you sell, like "vintage denim," "handmade jewelry," or "trading cards."

Then connect Stripe. Stripe is how you get paid. When a buyer pays for one of your products, the money goes to your Stripe account, not to CIRCA and not to the host. Stripe will ask for a few details to verify your identity and where to send your money. You do this once.

• Connect your account once. It carries over to every market you join.
• You'll show as ready for checkout once Stripe is set up and verified.
• If Stripe needs anything else from you, the app will tell you what to fix before you can take payments.

Step four

Your storefront

When you add products, CIRCA turns them into a storefront, a page you can share before a market, during a pop-up, or any time you want buyers to see what is available. It updates as you add, price, or sell items.

Share it anywhere (your link in bio, a story, a text to regulars) so buyers can see what you're bringing. The same products carry into in-person checkout.

Step five

Joining a market

You can sell from your own seller QR without joining an event. Hosted markets add roster, schedule, location, and fee tools when a host is coordinating sellers.

Here's how it works:

• A host invites or approves you for their event. You'll see the event name, date, time, and location.
• If the host set a seller fee, you'll see the amount up front. It's optional per host (some charge one, some don't) and it goes to the host.
• Once you're approved and any fee is settled, you're on the roster. Your Stripe and storefront setup carry over.

You can join as many markets as you like. The only per-event cost is a host's optional fee.

Step six

Adding your products

You add your products in the app, right from your phone. Each one is quick to set up:

• Photo, one clear shot. Good light, plain background.
• Name, what it is, like "Levi's 501, mid-wash" or "hand-poured soy candle."
• Price, what you want for it. You set it.
• Category and details (size, condition, or whatever fits), so buyers know what they're getting.

You can add products ahead of time or on the spot. As they sell, they're marked sold so you don't double-sell the same one, and your storefront updates automatically.

Step seven

Selling with QR checkout

Every seller has a personal QR code. When a buyer wants something:

• You show your QR code, on your phone or printed at your spot.
• The buyer opens their camera and scans it. Nothing to download.
• They pay in their browser with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card.
• If Tap to Pay is enabled for your Stripe account and iPhone, you can also take an in-person card payment directly in the app.
• They walk away with it. You see the sale land in real time.

Buyers don't need a separate payment app. QR checkout works without a card reader, and Tap to Pay adds a card-present option when your account is eligible.

Step eight

Getting paid

On every completed sale, the 10% platform fee is deducted like this:

• You keep 90%. On a $100 sale, that's $90.
• CIRCA keeps the 10% platform fee. If the sale is tied to a hosted market, any host share is handled by CIRCA/admin settlement.

Your share goes to the Stripe account you connected. Because payments run through Stripe, you can see and track your sales there, just like any other Stripe-powered business.

The only other cost is a host's optional event fee, if you choose to join a hosted market that has one. There are no per-product fees. If something doesn't sell, it costs you nothing.

Before you go

Market day checklist

Run through this the night before:

• The app's installed and you're signed in.
• Stripe is connected and showing ready.
• If you're joining a hosted market, you're approved for the event and any host fee is settled.
• Your products are added, with photos and prices.
• Your seller QR code is ready to show (phone charged, or a printed copy at your spot).

If everything's checked, you're ready to sell.
