How to sell pre-loved clothes at a CIRCA pop-up, from your phone. Read it through, or jump to the section you need.

Setup in four steps

01

Download the app

Get the CIRCA seller app from the App Store and sign up.

02

Set up profile & Stripe

Build your seller profile and connect Stripe so payments land where they should.

03

Get your Seller Pass

Buy the one-time access pass. $5, once, lifetime access.

04

Join a pop-up & sell

A host approves you, you add your items, and buyers scan your QR to pay.

What it costs

Seller Pass $5 once for lifetime seller access.
Your cut You keep 90% of each completed sale.
CIRCA fee CIRCA takes a 10% platform fee per completed sale.
Event fee Some hosts set an optional seller event fee. You'll see it before you join.

Step one

Getting started

CIRCA is a pop-up resale platform for pre-loved clothes. You sell your pieces in person at an event, and buyers pay you on the spot by scanning a QR code. There's no shipping and no storefront to manage.

Setup happens once: download the app, set up your profile and connect Stripe for payouts, then buy your Seller Pass. After that, each event is: join a host's pop-up, add your items, show your QR.

Not in the pilot yet? Sign up on the pilot page and select "seller." We'll add you to the next pop-up in your area.

Step two

Download the app

You do everything as a seller in the CIRCA seller app. Download it from the App Store and sign up.

The app is where you build your profile, connect Stripe, buy your Seller Pass, add your items, and show your QR code on pop-up day.

Step three

Set up your profile & Stripe

First, build your seller profile — this is how buyers and hosts recognize you:

  • Your name and handle — what shows up at your spot.
  • Your specialty — a short line on what you sell, like "vintage denim" or "designer knits."

Then connect Stripe. Stripe is how you get paid — when a buyer pays for one of your pieces, the money goes to your Stripe account, not to CIRCA and not to the host. Stripe will ask for a few details to verify your identity and where to send your money. You do this once.

  • Connect your account once. It carries over to every pop-up you join.
  • You'll show as ready for checkout once Stripe is set up and verified.
  • If Stripe needs anything else from you, the app will tell you what to fix before the event.

Set up Stripe a day or two before your first pop-up, not the morning of. Verification can take a little time, and you want to show as ready before doors open.

Step four

The Seller Pass

With your profile and Stripe in place, buy your Seller Pass. It's $5, paid once, and it's yours for life — not per event, not a subscription.

Once it's active, you can join a pop-up. You don't buy it again.

Step six

Adding your items

You add your pieces in the app, right from your phone. Each item is quick to set up:

  • Photo — one clear shot of the piece. Good light, plain background.
  • Name — what it is, like "Levi's 501, mid-wash."
  • Price — what you want for it. You set it.
  • Category, size, and condition — so buyers know what they're getting.

You can add items ahead of time or on the spot. As pieces sell, they're marked sold so you don't double-sell the same item.

Adding an item and setting its price are the same step, so you can price your pieces as you tag them.

Step seven

Selling with QR checkout

Every seller has a personal QR code. When a buyer wants a piece:

  • You show your QR code — on your phone or printed at your spot.
  • The buyer opens their camera and scans it. Nothing to download.
  • They pay in their browser with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card.
  • They walk away with the piece. You see the sale land in real time.

Buyers don't need a separate payment app. You don't handle cash or card readers.

Before you go

Pop-up day checklist

Run through this the night before:

  • The app's installed and you're signed in.
  • Stripe is connected and showing ready.
  • Your Seller Pass is active.
  • You're approved for the event, and any event fee is settled.
  • Your items are added, with photos and prices.
  • Your QR code is ready to show — phone charged, or a printed copy at your spot.

If everything's checked, you're ready to sell.

Questions

FAQ

How much does it cost to sell?

The Seller Pass is $5, paid once, for lifetime access. After that, CIRCA takes a 10% platform fee on each completed sale and you keep 90%. Some hosts also set an optional event fee, which you'll always see before you join.

When and how do I get paid?

Your 90% goes to the Stripe account you connect during setup. Payments run through Stripe, so you can see your sales and track payouts there.

Do buyers need to download an app?

No. Buyers open their phone camera, scan your QR code, and pay in the browser with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card. There's nothing for them to install.

What if a piece doesn't sell?

It costs you nothing. There are no per-listing fees. You only pay the 10% platform fee on items that actually sell.

Can I sell at more than one pop-up?

Yes. Your Seller Pass is lifetime, so you can join as many host-approved pop-ups as you like without buying it again. Your Stripe setup carries over too.

What can I sell?

Pre-loved clothes. Add a photo, price, category, size, and condition for each piece.

What's an event fee, and do I always pay one?

It's an optional fee a host can set for sellers at their event. Some hosts charge one, some don't. If there is one, you'll see the amount before you join — it's separate from the 10% platform fee.

What do I need to bring on pop-up day?

Your phone (charged), your pieces, and your QR code ready to show. Make sure your Seller Pass is active, Stripe shows ready, and your items are added before doors open.

Great style comes full circle.
